Position Overview

Title: Configuration Engineer

Department: Configuration (Operations)

Reporting to: Configuration Manager

Requirements

Education (Required): Grade 12, Technicon Diploma

Education (Preferred): Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related BSc

Experience: 5+ years in Quality and Configuration Management, ideally within manufacturing or the military sector

Skills and Competencies

• Extensive experience in Quality and Configuration Management, with a focus on manufacturing environments.
• Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Proactive, self-driven, with strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (preferred).
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in creating bill of materials from assembly drawings or instructions.
• Dedication to continuous improvement in product and process optimization.
• Ability to meet strict delivery deadlines while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management principles and practices is advantageous.
• Technical background, particularly in process automation and efficiency enhancements, is preferred.
